YS Pierced Her Ears
I must write this down. This afternoon, YS and I passed by the so called pro in ears piercing shop in JP so I just asked her if she wanted it? Bingo! She wanted so we went ahead. One thing I am not aware is the ladies got the 2 ear loops pierced at the same time! I think this is a good idea because YS said if it is pierced separately she might not wanna do it for the 2nd ear loop. She said it is painful. The thing is she didn't cry... Way to go girl!

Sorry Mummy
JH came to me a day after he rested at home since he is sick.
JH: Mummy I'm sorry I didn't listen to you...
Me: What did you not listen to me?
JH: I didn't listen to you to drink more water....
Ai yo... I think my son has grown up a little more mature lately.
I am so so touched...

谁幸苦?
JH was down with fever the other day... He was feeling very uncomfortable by the chill. He said his throat, neck and head were painful. Well, my boy didn't heed my advice, ate lots of biscuits without drinking lots of water. At that moment, I asked him “谁幸苦?” He said "mummy, because mummy needs to look after me." I was surprised when he said that... I told him "JH is too." I am so touched that my son appreciates mummy's love and care. I asked him the same question the next day and he said "JH and mummy..." My son never fails to realise that mummy does take good care of him when he is not well... 没有白疼你啦.

Kid's Thought
Me: Don't eat those else your stomach wil be upset.
JH: Mummy I want to eat those...
YS: Didi, don't eat those... Later your stomach will be angry...
HC and I have a good laugh! It is so funny what the kids have in their mind!

Toilet Talk
Sometimes you just cannot imagine what the kids are up to. Both of them needed to do THE BiG business and luckily for S'poreans who stay in HDB 4-rooms flats and above, there are 2 toilets in a unit. (not sure about 3-rooms)
You know what?! Both of them started to chat in their respective toilets. Shouting out loud to each other and having a normal conversation in 2 separate toilets! Asking each other to wait for one another to come out from their respective toilets when they are done. Asking each other if they are done... Oh dear...
Both hc and I always enjoy this sort of moments when the 2 kids play in harmony. According to hc, in some mornings the 2 walk hand-in hand to the carpark! So sweet...

Little Missy
YS wanted to help me wash the dishes one night. I was skeptical because I knew I will end up washing another round, which means it is a waste of water. She insisted though I told her not to. So I decided to go along with her. Standing beside her, teaching her to open the tap not to it's max and also teaching her how to feel for the utensils has been cleaned. Initially, she commented at the drainage 'Ee... so dirty' when the left over food got filtered. Though the comment from her, she picked up the rubbish and threw into the plastic bag next to the sink! I am so impressed.
I am also surprised that JH didn't disturb YS, instead he is happy standing beside her, helping her! I am really glad that I gave in to her this round.

A Brother's Love
This evening, YS is jealous of JH because I am carrying him for a longer time than her... Just for this reason she tried to walk away from us twice... During the 2nd time that YS is running away, JH went after her and wrapped her from her back. While half carrying and dragging YS to us, 弟弟 has 2 hard bites from her! JH did not let go until they reached us. Then he came to me and wept softly... JH will only give this sort of cry when he feels 委屈. Both hc and I can see how much 弟弟loves 姐姐from this incident. We are both very touch by this little boy...
While walking back home, I ignored YS' tantrums and carried JH home as he is already very tired. Below is our conversation:
ME: Why did you run after 姐姐?
JH: Because 姐姐 is running away, later bad guy catch.
ME: Why don't want bad guy catch 姐姐?
JH: I love 姐姐.
ME: Can I tell 姐姐 what you just told me?
JH: No, later 姐姐 scolds me.
From this I realise how sensible JH is, how much he loves YS but also afraid of her. I am aware that many times YS is bossing him around and also many a times JH gives in to her. This incident has really let me see the other side of my boy.

Two in One
Found a T-shirt that belongs to hc with a GL size! Don't think he will wear that out in the streets so decided to hand it over to the kids.
This T actually makes the kids learn how to coorporate with each other when 'tied' together. It is so funny watching them moving around and YS trying to 'boss' JH around. ha ha... and she keeps falling on top of him! I am glad she is behind him because 弟弟is bigger than her!

Back to Work?
Last evening while our family were having dinner, YS asked me to go back to work... :( She said 'Mummy, I wanna go full day school. Every time I come back from school you are busy cooking and don't have time to play with me! I wanna play with my friends in school then!' Oh No... This is an alert to me... I am really spending lots of time in the kitchen that the kids are left to watch the tv pgms or play by themselves when I'm preparing my meals which normally I need 1 hr to get dinner ready not including washing up the dishes. I am GUILTY to her words, I feel bad but I am aware of this all this while.
So for today when YS came back from school I played with her and di di for 45 mins before I prepared dinner. Tonight, I put aside the dishes after dinner and played with them. Finally got to wash the dishes after they are in bed. Guess I really need to think of ways to cut down on the time I spent on my chores... If not, my princess is going to abandon me soon.

I learnt from them
I learnt from my little ones and I am still learning from them everday. Being a SAHM has given me the opportunity to grow... The biggest lesson that I have learnt is FORGIVENESS. They are ever so forgiving. No matter how hard I've reprimanded them for their mistakes after their punishment they will continue to be nice to me.
Today when JH came back from preschool I had a full 30 mins of struggle to put him at the punish corner. I didn't give in to his beggings not to be put at the corner and cries. Sometimes I do feel that I am very hard on my kids. After 30 mins, he gave in and sat at the punish corner still crying away softly. After the whole episode, my little one is back to his usual self and started smiling again. Plus, he asked for his 2nd serving of milk after the first 240ml! For adults like me, I believe I cannot be like him after such an episode... I would still be sulking away if I were him with no appetite!
There is another good one from YS:
One afternoon days after my dad's funeral, the radio was on and a piece of slow song was broadcasted while the kids and I were playing. Suddenly, YS ran towards the radio and changed the station and I have never taught her how to change the channel. I asked her what happened? She said 'I don't want you to cry...' huh? I was confused then, I asked 'Why?'. She said 'The song sounds so sad...' I shared this with a close friend and she complimented that I have a smart kid, I should learn from her! She said 'YS understands that when one is unhappy just change the channel that is to change the unhappy thought to a happy one.' Sound so simple but I wasn't aware of this until YS demonstrated to me...
My dear daughter is a very sensitive girl. After seeing me being so upset over the lost of my daddy... Whenever she sees I am sad she will ask me 'Are you going to cry?'...
