Silence...

Wow... It has been a long time since I last blogged. With HC travelling for a week, kids falling ill one after another and worse this time is boy went down for a 2nd round after he is well for less than a week. With fever nearing to 40 degree, stayed around 38.5 degree refusing to come down only after 7th day of his fever... It was the antibiotic that was given on the 5th day that got the temperature down on the 7th day. Phew... Mummy is really tired... I am really glad jh's fever has subsided though he has lost some weight.

4th Round

Yes! I made it to my 4th round at the stadium, non stop this evening! at Lane 8 some more! Yeah... I hope to make it more!

I had a great time with my family this evening... We walked to the stadium for our run instead of a ride... After the run we went for dinner at a coffee shop and we strolled back home. I've always like this sort of take our time moments... It's so nice to have my loved ones around. It made me forget about the troubles I have in my mind at the moment. hmm...

Mood

Today's dinner is the worst dinner I've ever prepared but thankfully the kids almost finished their portion. At least they filled their stomach. A person's mood does affect what he/ she does. I am affected by some matters thus the result... I know one day the matter will resolve but when? It is so painful... my heart aches...

Old Feeling...

It had been a very long long time since my last run... I couldn't even remember when was it. This evening my family went to the stadium for a jog. After hc is done with his 3.2km then I went for my run. I am surprised by myself that I could go 3 rounds non stop. It is already an achievement to me... I just wonder if I can cover more rounds the next time or I wonder when will be my next jogging session again...

A Wish Came True - RainbowS Connection

Ever since I have my 2 kids, I made a wish - to spot a rainbow together one day. The place that we stay is surrounded by flats and I reckon that it is pretty tough for us to spot a rainbow. YS is 5 plus this year and she has yet to see a real one. For me, I really forgot when was the last time that I spotted one.

This evening, after dinner the rain had stopped and while I was walking to the central rubbish chute to throw rubbish I spotted a rainbow! And it was very big and clear!! I quickly went back home and got the kids out to see this beautiful sight. When I took a closer look, there were actually 2 rainbows!

It is so awesome! The kids and I were so excited. What I am amazed is my WISH came true! I really spotted a rainbow with me kids and it is not 1 but 2 rainbows. At that moment, I received a message... I need to keep my faith, one day... Just one day all my wishes will come true. Patience does pay.

Little Missy

YS wanted to help me wash the dishes one night. I was skeptical because I knew I will end up washing another round, which means it is a waste of water. She insisted though I told her not to. So I decided to go along with her. Standing beside her, teaching her to open the tap not to it's max and also teaching her how to feel for the utensils has been cleaned. Initially, she commented at the drainage 'Ee... so dirty' when the left over food got filtered. Though the comment from her, she picked up the rubbish and threw into the plastic bag next to the sink! I am so impressed.

I am also surprised that JH didn't disturb YS, instead he is happy standing beside her, helping her! I am really glad that I gave in to her this round.

人间有爱

Within a week I met 2 kindhearted persons...

1) Last Saturday I took a cab from home(west) to Bishan with the kids. You can imagine how much the cab's fare would be. In the midst of the journey, I realised there was another amount that kept "jumping" with the main meter? That was really weird... So I asked the uncle when I had the chance because the extra charge I knew was a fixed $3. He told me that was history already! Oh dear... I believed my fare was really going to be near $30 then!

When I reached my destination, uncle told me to just pay him the amount displayed on the main meter. The additional charge was then $6 plus leh! Can buy 2 plates of chicken rice... I went "Huh?". He said "Since you don't know... Nevermind la, don't charge you..." He really caught me by surprised because I even forgot to take down his car plate number after we alighted.


2) This evening, I sent my gal's shoes to mend at the kind of cobbler that always goes to the same spot that is an open area near a mall and waits for customers to bring shoes to be mended leh. When I asked the uncle how much it would cost me, he said "I don't charge for children's shoes.". I went blurr for a moment... Called my gal to come thank the uncle.

Afterall, even we are facing a world finance crisis - when the worst is still not here, these non white-collar workers I have met have shown me that there is still hope in this world. I must continue to have some faith in Life.
